Rose Flack overcame huge odds to audition for American Idol
It’s a story within a story. I heard Bullying Prevention speaker Mike Donahue at Shaker Junior High School back in November of 2011. One of the stories he told was of a young woman who had been in over 30 different schools. Her parents were drug users and at one point she was living in her mother’s car. She was “self medicating” with drugs herself. Mike challenged her to go for her dream in spite of her circumstances. And she did. Here’s a video of her auditioning for American Idol.
